how to buy a Persian Rug?

I live in Dubai and really love the Persian Rugs which are displayed at different markets and shops. I want to buy one but the problem is I have no idea how to judge its quality and whether or not the vendor is asking too much for it. How can I reasonably judge the value of a rug so that I can bargain in good faith and have one of these beautiful things in my home ? Also, can you recommend a vendor or area of the city to find the best buys?

there are many shops either in malls or in the street markets that does have the NAME and PICTURE of persian carpets .. just take a drive where small markets and you’ll find the signs ..

and Friday market in northern emirates have that too .. many and many different kinds and sizes .. about 30 – 45 mins from Dubai .. ask any taxi about friday market or Souq Al Juma’a and they’ll help you ..
